BMW E30 MTECH 2 REAR SPOILER 3 PIECE REPLICA

Special 3 piece split Rear bumper for E30 Early model sedan and coupe with Mtech 2 body kit. This one is our new product that is a bolt on part on any Early model E30 Sedan and Coupe- none other Mtech2 bumpers will fit Early model E30 cars.

This is because originally the Mtech2 bumpers were offered only for Late model cars that have different rear wheel arch shape and because of that any standard Mtech2 bumper will have too long corners if fitted on a early model car plus the side brackets will not fit. You will also not need any bumper rebar and other hard to find / expensive mounting hardware.

The 3 piece construction will allow you to save approx 700 USD on shipping costs as the package size decreases from approx fridge sized box to a violin sized box.

This is a brand new aftermarket part made from GFK with slightly elastic resin. As this is a replacement part professional paint prep and install (some sanding, priming, filling) is always needed.

Mounting: Super easy mounting. You must remove your old bumper. First you take the 3 bumper pieces and put them together using the guide dots to correctly locate them- just as using building blocks when you were a kid. Then you clamp the pieces together and drill 3 pieces of 1/4” inch or 1/3” (6-8mm) diameter holes in the joint flanges. Then you must use the included bolts and washers and nuts to bolt the 3 pieces together. Now you have a big single piece bumper.

After that is done you must drill 4 pieces of 1/4” inch or 1/3” (6-8mm) diameter holes in the bumper recesses for mounting it to the car and brackets.

Now the bumper is ready to be installed on the car- use the included bolts, rubber washers and nuts to bolt the bumpers center part to the rear bumper brackets (you must also purchase standard Euro rear bumper brackets for Early model E30 from our shop: https://www.classiceuroparts.com/product/bmw-e30-euro-rear-bumper-mounting-brackets-mount-us-to-euro-conversion-318-325/  ). The bumper corners get bolted to the quarter panels using the included bolts; rubber washers and nuts.

Now the bumper has been test fitted and you can now paint it.

Alternatively you can also use polyurethane glue or body filler to glue the 3 parts together on the joint flanges and fill the joint lines using body filler. These lines are barely visible and match the rear quarter panel / tail panel joint lines. You can also glue the mounting bolts to the bumper and fill the recesses using body filler.
